I have this relationship with my camera, it's kind of like being in love, or maybe having a very needy child.
Like,
when I'm with my camera, it's something that I have to pay complete attention to it. It needs my full and undivided attention. I can't talk very well to other people and I can't think very well on much else than capturing.
It's hard to describe.
But the gist of it is, if I bring my camera with me, it's hard for me to be social. To talk and interact.
So, I've made a rule of, most of the time, leaving my camera behind when I'm going to hang out with other people.
Because, like I said, it's hard for me to focus on people when I'm taking photos. I get kind of unresponsive.

Anyhow.
That's that and yeah. I don't know. I was just kind of thinking out loud about my camera.

I'm not a big fan of editing my photos. I feel like it's kind of a chore, unless I'm really inspired by the photo. Like, I'll take a photo and think "I can't wait to edit that!" And then other times, I'll look at a photo and think "it's good enough to edit" and edit it, even though I don't want to. I should probably just make a rule that if the photo doesn't inspire me, I shouldn't edit it.

it was nice out.

recently,
i dropped my 50mm 1.8 and it kept popping out of it's shell (if that makes sense) but still took photos. So i asked my brother to see if he could make it stay in it's shell. and he broke it. snapped the ribbon cable. bleh. these were some of the last photos taken using it. ohwell.
i'm saving up for a new one.
so, i had to do my brothers and friends seniors,
and needed a portrait lens, so i rented one.
a canon 85mm f/1.8
can i just say. it was awesome. you know a lens is awesome when it makes your camera 3 pounds heavier. and it was super fast, and super quiet and just smooth. like butter. and the colour was very nice. and the images i took with it turned out awesome :)
(wish i had 400 to drop on it :P)

Nate is a senior, yo! He plays piano, and is friends with these awesome people at Evola's and they graciously let us use their showroom for some of his pictures. Then we headed over to a park and froze a little. But it was cool.
Anyhow. Nate was super awesome to shoot, and it was cool having soothing piano music in the background while I took pictures.
Also, Nate likes hats.
